MTG Zhalfir 2027 preview piece

🩵I recently received the permission from Wizards of the Coast to post the artwork that already got previewed this summer for the upcoming Magic the Gathering set, Zhalfir. Its official release date is on October 1st 2027 👀! I never had a piece previewed so early, it makes me veeery excited for this set to come out!!

☝️Fun fact: Two audio books kept me company while working on this one, the first was The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles and Heretical Fishing (first book) by Haylock Jobson. It's fascinating to me how every part of the painting became a map of the events that happened in the books I was listening to and looking back on various corners I remember specific parts of the stories, so I think mentioning these books is completely valid since they're now part of the painting 😅❤️
So there's not much I can say about it, just here it is, I went totally nuts with the water-ripple-flower effect and I'm very proud of it. 🎨🫶
